Dragon Wars Ch5 Pt4

After his little accident at the mall the medics carried the dragon back to the hotel to rest from his wounds while the rest of his soldiers gave a tour by the city to see in what they could help.

Back at the hotel the dragon went to his room to rest alongside his mother,
Outside the hotel the police were cleaning up the mess that the commandos had made to reach the city, firefighters were putting out some of the cars that were burning in the streets, the paramedics were removing the bodies of the area and cleaning up the remains of breakfast the dragon, some federal police were standing guard while the others prevented the media and civilians from approaching.

New River Avenue
01:30 pm

With the day unfolds could hear gunfire and several explosions throughout the city,
A few kilometers away from the hotel was the Charlie team along with some members of the Alpha squad and a squad of federal police fought a group of gang members
The gang members were armed with pistols and submachine guns,
Not willing to surrender some of the gang members were throwing molotov cocktails against the commandos
"I don´t think that they are going to surrender" Sergeant Susan said by her radio and taking cover of the enemy fire with a riot shield

"If you don´t tell me I don´t notice it" Stevens replied sarcastically after firing his rifle

The sergeant looked unhappy throwing a stone at him,
The corporal ignore it thinking that the stone was a piece of one of the walls that were receiving the shots,
The corporal saw the sergeant had run out ammunition and decided to approach her "covering fire!" The he yelled to one of the policemen before running away,
Behind him a police offiecer approached firing his G3 rifle, with the police covering him the corporal saw the opportunity and ran to the sergeant, while the corporal was running through the streets a sniper appeared on a balcony pointing his rifle, he was running down the street at full speed dodging bullets hitting the ground until the sniper shot hitting a metal plate on the corporal´s foot making him fell just inches from the sergeant, one officer saw the gunman and shot him hitting him in head, the sergeant approached to the corporal and dragged him out where she was covered
"And you were complaining that the armor would not serve" the sergeant Susan said draging him into a shop,
After arriving at the store the corporal took out a magazine from the pocket of his jacket and gave it to the Sergeant

"How lucky i am only because the captain ignore me" the corporal replied checking his vest to see how many magazines he had left.

After reloading their weapons the commandos climbed to the roof of the store to outflank the gang while on the other side of the block the gang were running out of ammunition and losing men quickly, ready to give up the gang members decided to drop their weapons and started walking towards the cops with their hands up, the police saw them and started coming towards them pointing their rifles,
The gang thought they had escaped but behind them appeared the commandos "Do not shoot! We surrender! "The gang leader startled with his hands up seeing the commandos pointing their rifles at them

The corporal and the sergeant looked and then laughed at them, seconds later they fired executing all gang members

The police were surprised to see the commandos killing the gang
"what´s wrong with you! they werew surrendering! "One officer yelled surprise

"Just following orders" Stevens replied regrouping with the rest of his team ready to go


Back at the hotel
8:12 pm

The dragon was fast asleep with his mother, covereing her with his wings as she hugged him, the hours passed and the dragon was asleep while his mother had gone along with the mate of the dragon to buy some food, out in the city shooting had finished and commandos had returned to hotel to rest, knowing that their leader was resting from his wounds the snipers and soldiers from the RDA began to monitor the entire area near the hotel.
Sgt Susan stayed watching the dragon while he slept and his mother was making his dinner, the sergeant was sitting beside him rubbing his belly, a few minutes later, the mother came back with the dragon's dinner and saw the sergeant rubbing him
"He always liked that someone rubs his belly when he was sick," his mother said, walking slowly with dinner "I'm surprised with the security in this hotel and the discipline of these soldiers," she said leaving the dinner on table and sitting down besides the dragon

"That's why he always cares for us and helped us when we needed help, in exchange for that we take care of him and protect him even if we die trying it" the sergeant responded seeing the mother with a smile.

The mother was a little happy to know that his son had done good things and was about to wake him up until a doctor entered the room "You better leave him rest, knowing him, he will wake up with the smell of food, so I recommend you that you leave the food here, he will eat it later "the doctor said standing at the door
"While we are waiting for that why not go to the lounge, our chef prepare dinner for everyone" the doctor said and then he walked to the lounge on the second floor

"you heard him, let him rest while we're going to eat," Sgt. Susan said "you´re going to know what the soldiers eat in the RDA" she said taking the hand of the mother, then both left the room into the living room while the squad Alpha was left guarding the hallway.

A few minutes later the dragon began to smell the food that her mother had left him, the smell of bacon and eggs woke him up,
Seeing the large amount of food in front made his mouth water, but just before taking his first bite his phone rang, the angry dragon pick up the phone and saw an unknown message,
He opened the message and saw that it has the address of a house a few miles away and below the address appeared the name of Gaia,
Surprised the dragon took large chunks of food and drinks, after finishing his dinner he ran to the closet and put on his armor and took his AK-47, his sawed-off shotgun and his two Glock 17 pistols ready to go,
After leaving his room, the dragon was discovered by one of his soldiers
"Captain" Where are you think you´re going? " the lieutenant Ramirez asked .
The dragon just stopped and turned to look him and then he ran down the hall at full speed
"Captain! You are not in conditions to go! "The lieutenant yelled chasing the dragon.
The commandos heard the dragon footsteps by the hall and then they came out of their rooms to see what was happening, they saw the dragon running at full speed and behind him the alpha squad
"Get him! Do not let him escape! "Lt. Ramirez yelled chasing the dragon
The other commandos tried to block his way but the dragon was still running tackling the soldiers.

Seeing that they could not stop him one of the commandos jumped and took the dragon by the wings.
"Sir, you are not in good conditions to leave" the corporal Johnson said holding the neck of the dragon
the dragon ignore him and jumped out by the window with the commando on his neck, a few seconds the commando let him go and extended his wings to land,
The commandos came out to the street and saw how the black dragon flied away and disappeared into the darkness of night,
"We said that we were going to take care of him!" Sgt Leon yelled angry to the commandos

"we know that sir" Lt. Doyle said

"So how the hell he escaped!" Sergeant Leon yelled angry

"Sir, at least we can track him down because he took all his equipment" the Private First class Matt said by his radio from the room of the Dragon

"Who escaped? the captain?" The sergeant Susan asked worried by her radio from the hotel´s lounge

"Tragically,"  Sergeant Leon replied by his radio from the street
"Commandos, we must find the captain immediately, not in good conditions to fight," the sergeant said by his radio
"Alpha and Bravo are going to look by land, that means we take the Humvees and trucks, also bring your assault gear, we may find some hostile civilians.
Delta, Echo and Charlie are going to look by air in the Blackhawks" the sergeant said by his radio walking back to hotel

A few blocks away from the hotel the dragon was looking for the adress with his GPS until he began to feel tired and decided to land on the roof of a kindergarten to rest
After landing the dragon felt short of breath and started gasping and wheezing then he collapsed unconscious on the roof of the school
